Exile from Reality

now I live in my own world

Should have gone with Ginny Weasley. Or even Victor Krum, but the question only specified “famous” and they don’t get much more famous than Mr. H. Potter.

You will hear thunder and remember me,
and think: she wanted storms.
The rim of the skies
will be the colour of hard crimson.
And your heart, as it was then,
will be on fire.

it’s really telling how tumblr works.

jennifer lawrence constructs a public persona based on her ‘awkwardness’, capitalizing on ‘im not like those other girls’ themes and her supposed shyness while appearing completely at home in front of the camera and she is treated…

Okay, so I’m a guy, and I’ve actually always liked Kristen Stewart (always meaning I saw her in Adventureland and In the Land of Women and liked her in those roles.) Admittedly, I like Jennifer Lawrence better, but I mean, just watch X-Men First Class and see how you feel. Anyway, if you’re wondering why K-Stew gets a harsh rep while J-Law gets glowing reviews its starts with public opinion. I mean Kristen is a skinny bitch while Jennifer has a fuller frame (otherwise known as a body most girls would sacrifice a limb for.) Next comes their bringing a beloved book series to the screen. Twilight was pretty tough to get through and the movies didn’t seem to be much better. This ends up doubly bad for Stewart because not only does she get reamed out by hardcore fans for not fitting the part, but the rest of the world who hated the books goes after her for being bad in a film series that can’t even take itself seriously. Meanwhile Lawrence is cast as Katniss with a best actress nom for Winter’s Bone under her belt, and even though Hunger Games wasn’t great she gets a pass because well, she still kicked all the boys asses. And that’s what it comes down to really. Kristen Stewart and the roles she takes remind girls of what they’re desperately hoping to avoid, while Jennifer Lawrence roles fit more into what girls either feel they are or desperately hope to become.
